Death is about endings, but it’s also about transformations. Few tarot cards evoke the fear that Death does, but the card really wants us to remember to embrace change. Don’t fear it.

This beautiful, dark bar is centered around elderflowers and blackberry leaves, which are steeped in the water used to make the soap. These are herbs that evoke transformation, and they’re good for the skin. Nourishing oils and butters create a fairly hard, bubbly bar with a medium scent. Moody, sweet, and sharp essential oils evoke darkness and the cloying sweetness of death.

Each bar is about 4 ounces. The size varies a little bit from bar to bar due to the nature of small batch crafting. To help your soap last as long as possible, use a well draining soap dish to let it thoroughly dry out between uses.

Ingredients:

Olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, castor oil, elderflower decoration, essential oil blend (rosemary, lavender, orange, clary sage, clove, vetiver, ylang ylang), activated charcoal, lye, water infused with elderflowers and blackberry leaves.

(There is no lye in the finished soap. The lye combines with the fatty acids of the oils to create soap. The science and magic of soap!)
